In July 2024, ACM Computing Machinery Awards recognized excellence through its eminent series of awards for technical and professional achievements and contributions in computer science and information technology.

For this year’s awards presentation, it was important to showcase the excellence of the computing and machinery experts. Awards ranged from the esteemed A.M. Turing Award, which was received by Avi Wigderson for foundational contributions to the theory of computation; to Prize in Computing and Distiguished Service. It also is a special occasion to announce the Fellows of 2023.

When moodboarding for the event’s unique look, we wanted to roll out the red carpet with an elegant sophisticated backdrop. Unlike the bold blue visual identity for the ACM website, velvety black textures, twinkling gold and premium motion graphics were an immediate draw to elevate the look of the venue and the backdrop of each award winner’s name as it came on the screen.

The visual experience not only was used for the presentor screen, but for social media posts, the podium and various on site materials. It was a magical night that embraced the wonderful work of the ACM community.

Working with Lisa Vissichelli on designing a new look for our high-profile tech industry awards show was a game-changer. Her design sense was exceptional, reflecting both creativity and professionalism in every detail.

Her designs perfectly aligned with our tech-forward theme, capturing the sense of achievement and innovation being celebrated. Lisa was a pleasure to work with start to finish and I highly recommend Lisa for any of your design needs!
